At their healthiest, Prophets help others see truth clearly and encourage the body of Christ toward integrity.
The growth opportunity is learning that truth is most powerful when it is expressed through humility, wisdom, compassion, and love.
Prophets and Tasks
Prophets often operate from the principle:
If it is worth doing, it is worth doing right.
When a task connects strongly with their convictions or sense of God's purpose, they may pour tremendous energy into it.
At other times, practical responsibilities may receive less attention because spiritual concerns, ideas, or larger issues feel more significant.
Healthy growth involves recognizing that faithfulness is not limited to dramatic moments of conviction.
Sometimes serving God means confronting a major issue. Other times it means quietly completing the ordinary responsibility in front of you.
