I am more blind to myself than I am to any other person. That’s why I need feedback. Not just from anyone—but from wise, godly voices who can help me hear the truth, even when it contradicts what I feel. When I’m low, I need someone to lift my eyes. When I’m proud, I need someone to pull me back to reality. My own emotions swing too easily between condemnation and self-congratulation. The ego always wants to solve problems now. But God’s way is different.

Most of us trust our instincts far more than we should. We think, “If it feels right, it must be right.” We rely on what we call our conscience, believing it will lead us in the right direction. But the truth is, our instincts and our conscience have been shaped by our spiritual past—by wounds, fears, traumas, and patterns that go back further than we even remember.

We all live in this tension. Paul describes the inner war between his new nature in Christ and the remnants of his sin nature. He wants to do good but finds himself doing what he hates. That tension doesn’t mean I’m lost—but it does mean I need to pay attention to which voice is winning. Growth in Christ means a steady direction of greater obedience. It means evaluating what actually comes out of me—not just what I intended.

We’ve all wondered why God doesn’t always move in an instant. Miracles happen. Breakthroughs come. But other times, despite deep faith and earnest prayer, nothing seems to change. If God is truly all-powerful, why the delay? The answer lies in spiritual authority.

Sometimes it feels like we're waiting on God, when in truth, He’s waiting on us. Not waiting to see if we’ll act—but waiting for our obedience, humility, repentance, and prayer to carry enough spiritual weight to tip the scales of justice and release the answers He longs to give.

There are moments when it seems like your prayers aren’t doing anything. You’ve cried, fasted, and prayed again—and yet no breakthrough. But Scripture gives us a different view. In heaven, our prayers are being collected. Stored. Multiplied. Building toward a tipping point.
